West Coast Woman

Born in 1965 to Junior Lighthouse keepers, Ed and Pat Kidder, who were stationed at Carmanah Point Light station at the time, along with my 3 year old brother. I grew up on Scarlett Point Light station until I was 4.  At 5 years old  we moved to Nootka Light Station at Friendly Cove, Yuquot, where I lived until I moved up the coast to Kyuquot, married, had 3 kids and live on a private island. Having spent my entire life next to the sea, First Nations, fishermen and loggers (was married to a logger for 23 years), I experienced life differently than most.  On the "real west coast" we often have sayings and views unique to our way of life. Most of the saying on this apparel come from things we say, or sayings from my Mum, or things that just fit the coastal life and attitudes. I hope you enjoy them. Also open to suggestions.
